In 2005 Carolyn and Roger teamed up with Rita Papadakis and Adrian Kwok of Holon Business Group Pty Ltd to form the Organisational Development Group. (ODG)
ODG, through its founder companies, LeaderVision and Holon Business Group, offers a range of courses based on the applications of NLP combined with Spiral Dynamics integral.

LeaderVision Pty. Ltd. was established in 1981 by Roger K. Deaner and Carolyn J. Barratt and is one of the most prestigious schools of NLP in Australia . Originally operating as a business consultancy with the aim of assisting professionals and smaller companies by applying the principles employed by the ultra successful big businesses, Deaner and Barratt soon realised the need to offer training to their clients and developed a series of diverse training programs for business professionals.
Researching the best way to transfer business skills they immersed themselves in their own in depth training in Neuro Linguistic Programming – the study of human behaviour, communication and linguistics which they applied to business skills and communication training for their clients.
In another innovative move, the company chose to enhance this training with the addition of the advanced organisational model, Spiral Dynamics-integral. They have also studied the work of Humberto Maturana; Fritz Perls and Milton Erickson among many others.
During the following years LeaderVision focused exclusively on teaching NLP and its business applications and expanded its operations into New Zealand , UK , Singapore and the US . Roger Deaner’s goal was to train people to become the best NLP professionals possible.
We are proud that there are now a number of LeaderVision trained NLP trainers who have the breadth of experience, the intense grounding in all the basic and advanced patterns of NLP together with the profound stagecraft, and training skills required to become recognised as a superb NLP trainer.
Together with one of their protégés, Sean Healy, Deaner and Barratt have written the “Reference Guide for Practitioners of NLP” which they have only this year released for general sale. The book is self published with a spiral bound spine for ease of use and is the text book used for their NLP Practitioner Program.
After a successful 28 years in business together, Carolyn and Roger decided a change of pace, a tree change and semi-retirement was in order and moved to Beechworth in North Eastern Victoria. Here they now offer their excellent programs to people living in the border towns, and of course any who want to travel to this beautiful area.

However, LeaderVision Directors observe with concern the tendency for some trainers to present NLP as a quick fix, which can be learned in very short courses. There is a great temptation to offer courses that are easy to digest and don’t take up too much time. This approach contradicts the heart and integrity of true NLP training.
No short cuts
Learning NLP properly takes time. There are no short cuts. ‘Quick fix’ courses will not have lasting impact. In order for the benefits of NLP to be available to you every minute of every day – on an unconscious level – it must be generic and learned epistemologically.
